The media really did a good job tearing her apart. Even Republicans have shunned her. She is not perfect – no one is, but I would still pick her over Obama any day of the week! If she had her own cult of personality like he does she’d be all set, too. If only more people would fulfill their rolls as functioning members of a democracy and vote their intellect and conscience with Common Sense there to guide them. Instead of, you know, doing what the TV says and being sucked into “hope” and “change!”

I guess the question for me becomes, for what did she leave? It’s not a why…it’s a what. You and I know that. Had I been her P.R. Counsel, I would have strongly recommended that she not only site the cause of her decision, but the next actions she is likely to take.
Leaving in a job when the situation around you continues to become more and more shitty, and I hate to say this, most especially as a female, makes her seem a bit petulant and whimpy. Sort of an, “I”m gonna’ take my dolly and go home, so there!”
Don’t get me wrong, because I was one of her early proponents when the women I knew were acting like cats in a street alley, I demanded that they think about what they were doing and saying about one of their own. To no avail. She wasn’t a woman to them so much as she was a Republican. And everyone knows it’s open season on saying whatever you feel like about them…
But, this move? with so much time left to her term, without saying why she was vacating the seat, well, it didn’t serve her. At least, that’s my opinion.
I wish her well with whatever she does. She needs better PR and Marketing people. And, she needs to learn how to listen to them. Despite how good she may be, I don’t think she listens to wise counsel. Again, just my opinion.

Unfortunately I do not think Sarah Palin can come back from this one. The democrats first thing will be to say “Do you want someone in office that will quit if it gets too tough for her, no matter what the IT is?” I am going to assume she had no plans to run for president because all advisors would have told her not to step down. I’m assuming she has other plans, such as media

Sarah Palin was trashed by the media. She’s a breath of fresh air and this just didn’t compute with that sexist bunch that runs the media.
Hillary was trashed as well making comments about her cleavage and nagging voice. When they can’t bring someone down with the issues, they have to do it in an underhanded way.
If they were making racist remarks it wouldn’t be tolerated. It’s okay to trash women, though.
I wish Sarah Palin well. If she can make a few dollars writing a book and keep the Republicans stirred up, good on her.
Sarah Palin was not running for pres against Obama. She was in the vp slot– Aren’t we lucky we have Biden the Clown?
I’d take her any day over Obama, too.

Sarah was treated unfairly by the press because she was a woman. The media attacks and ridicules women of both political parties to marginalize them.
This week they’re beyond Sarah and Hillery and attacking Sonya Sotomayor.
